Description
This position is part of a collaborative effort between Helmholtz Munich and Roche, focused on applying AI and machine learning to discover novel therapeutic modalities in gene therapy and RNA-based medicines. The successful candidate will lead the development of computational models, work closely with experimental teams, supervise junior researchers, and contribute to high-impact publications and grant applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of DNA/RNA foundation models.
- Engage in hands-on research with experimental laboratories.
- Collaborate and provide strategic leadership within interdisciplinary teams.
- Supervise and mentor PhD students and junior researchers.
- Acquire additional funding, publish research findings, and file patents.
