EISA Postdoctoral Bridge Grants: EISA invites applications for the Postdoctoral Bridge Grants aimed at recently graduated or final-year PhD students who are transitioning to academic employment. Eligibility/Qualification:

  1. Active membership with EISA.
  2. Must have:
  • (a) Been awarded a PhD degree within 12 months of the application deadline, or
  • (b) Submitted a PhD degree (pending award confirmation) within 12 months of the application deadline.
  1. No previous permanent academic post held after PhD completion.

Job Description:

The EISA Postdoctoral Bridge Grants will award up to 5 grants of €3,500 each, intended to assist applicants in completing their doctoral projects and enhancing their chances for postdoctoral employment. Recipients will be required to:

  • Draft a detailed 1-page proposal outlining the intended use of funding (e.g., writing a funding proposal, completing a peer-reviewed article, or preparing a book manuscript).
  • Submit a brief CV (maximum 4 pages).
  • Provide confirmation of PhD status or a letter from PhD supervisors if the degree is not yet awarded.

Publications resulting from the funded research must credit EISA.
