Eligibility/Qualification

  • PhD in a relevant field (e.g. biology, bioinformatics, computational biology)
  • Experience in multidisciplinary research involving wet-lab and dry-lab methods
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Description

The EMBL-EBI/Sanger Postdoctoral Fellowship offers the opportunity to select projects from pre-defined topics or propose your own research project, ensuring collaboration with groups at both EMBL-EBI and the Wellcome Sanger Institute. The projects encompass areas such as:

  1. Multicellular molecular characterisation of inflammatory bowel disease
  2. Single-cell multiomics in high grade serous ovarian cancer
  3. Morphological programmes of T cell activation using machine learning
  4. Consequences of mutations in endometrial stem cells
  5. Interactive visualisation and AI tools for spatial transcriptomics
  6. Designing single-cell perturbation experiments
  7. Predicting cellular phenotypes from environmental compounds
