Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Currently employed Ph.D. and postdoctoral researchers only
  • No restrictions on age, gender, nationality, or scientific background
  • Must return to home institution upon completion of fellowship
  • Minimum stay of one month to a maximum of six months, hosted by an EMBL research group
  • Only first visits to EMBL are eligible; applications must be submitted and approved before visit commencement

Job Description:

The EMBL Scientific Visitor Programme Fellowship offers junior researchers the opportunity to work with an EMBL host research group on experimental projects. Awardees are expected to:

  • Engage with state-of-the-art technology platforms and laboratories.
  • Build networks with international peers.
  • Contribute to the collaborative research environment at EMBL.
    Fellowship ensures support for travel or accommodation costs (up to โ‚ฌ4,000), depending on stay duration, and provides assistance in finding housing.

  • Letter of confirmation and recommendation from the EMBL hosting group leader
  • Support letter from your supervisor at your home institution
