Eligibility/Qualification

  • Applicants must have or be about to obtain a First or Upper Second Class UK Honours degree, or equivalent qualifications in a relevant field of science or technology.
  • Lower Second Class degrees may be considered if complemented by a Master’s degree or substantial relevant non-academic experience.
  • Proficiency in English is required for non-native speakers.

Job Description

Successful candidates will engage in cutting-edge research, contributing significantly to their chosen project while benefiting from the University’s extensive resources, training programs, and academic support. Students will receive:

  • An index-linked stipend for up to 3.5 years (current rate: £20,780 per annum)
  • Full coverage of University tuition fees (Home)
  • Research Training Support Grant (RTSG) of £5,000 over 3.5 years
