Research Area
The research focuses on developing a robust framework for segmenting vessels from various neurovascular imaging modalities. The candidate will contribute to innovative methods for accurately segmenting both arteries and veins across multiple resolutions.
Location
EURECOM, Sophia-Antipolis, France
Eligibility/Qualification
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in deep learning techniques and image segmentation.
- Strong programming skills in Python or similar languages.
- Experience with computer vision and algorithm development.
- Background in medical image analysis and processing is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good command of English for reading/writing scientific articles and delivering presentations.
Description
The successful candidate will work with the AI4Health@EURECOM research group under the guidance of Prof. Maria A. Zuluaga. This project aims to create a single, modality-agnostic framework for segmenting brain vessels, revolutionizing current approaches that rely on modality-specific models. Responsibilities include:
- Developing a framework for segmenting vessels.
- Designing a single model to handle any modality at any resolution.
- Implementing quality control mechanisms for segmentation accuracy.
- Publishing research findings and participating in weekly research meetings.
