Eligibility/Qualification: Candidates with a background in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related fields. Proficiency in bioinformatics tools and programming languages such as perl or python. Familiarity with Linux systems.

Job Description:

  • Assemble reference-quality genomes of bat species using PacBio HiFi and HiC data
  • Analyze transcriptomics data to annotate new genomes and generate whole genome alignments
  • Utilize homology-based methods like TOGA for analysis
  • Support the BATPROTECT project in its mission to uncover the genomic basis of adaptations in bats
