Job Description:
The successful candidates will work on the BATPROTECT project, funded by a 6-year ERC synergy grant, which aims to understand the molecular mechanisms behind bats’ exceptional longevity and resistance to diseases. Tasks include genome assembly, comparative transcriptomic analysis, phylogenomics, and identifying key molecular targets for functional validation.
Your Profile:
- Master or PhD degree in bioinformatics/computational biology, genomics, or a related area
- Strong programming skills in a Linux environment, with experience in shell scripts and Unix tools
- Interest in comparative genomics, experience in the field is advantageous
- Proficiency in written and oral English
