ERC-Funded Postdoctoral Positions: The Leibniz-Institut für Molekulare Pharmakologie (FMP) in Berlin is seeking two post-doctoral fellows with expertise in biochemistry and/or organelle proteomics and cell culture. Eligibility/Qualification

  • Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., biochemistry, molecular biology, molecular neuroscience).

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High motivation to excel in scientific research.
  • English proficiency is required; knowledge of German is not essential.

Job Description

The successful candidates will:

  • Conduct research on the pathways controlling the formation of presynaptic compartments.
  • Utilize genome engineering techniques in stem cell-derived neurons.
  • Collaborate within an enthusiastic and innovative research team in a state-of-the-art environment.
  • Engage with systems biology/proteomic approaches to identify the origin and composition of synaptic vesicle and active zone precursor organelles.
