ETH Postdoctoral Fellowship: The ETH Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme (ETH Fellows) at ETH Zurich invites applications for its upcoming cycle. Eligibility/Qualification
- Applicant must hold a doctorate (PhD) or will complete their doctorate within six months of the submission deadline.
- PhD obtained must be no more than two years prior to the submission deadline.
- Must have at least one scientific publication in a peer-reviewed journal or have been awarded a prize for the doctoral thesis.
- Must not have resided or carried out main activity (work, studies, etc.) in Switzerland for more than twelve months in the three years prior to the submission deadline.
- Applicants with prior affiliation at ETH Zurich, EPFL, or related research institutes for more than six months in the past three years are ineligible.
- Candidates from all genders and backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
Job Description
Successful applicants will be expected to:
- Propose their own research project aligned with the interests of a host professor at ETH Zurich.
- Collaborate with their mentor to ensure effective mentorship and guidance towards achieving academic independence.
- Undertake a two-year research fellowship, starting at the latest eight months after the submission deadline.
- Participate in application processes and uphold all project deadlines.
The fellowship covers the fellow’s full salary based on ETH standards (including social security contributions) and provides CHF 10,000 per year for research expenses.
