Eligibility/Qualification–
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in the relevant or equivalent discipline and first class in the preceding degrees, from recognized institutions/universities. For engineering positions, the preceding degrees generally include B.E./B.Tech. and M.E./M.Tech. or equivalent degrees in the relevant discipline. Experience Requirements
- Assistant Professor Grade II – Pay Level 10: Ph.D.; no relevant experience required. One SCI journal publication is desirable.
- Assistant Professor Grade II – Pay Level 11: Ph.D. with 1 year relevant experience; one SCI paper accepted for publication is an essential requirement.
- Assistant Professor Grade I – Pay Level 12: Ph.D. with 3 years after Ph.D. or 6 years total, subject to the specified conditions; two SCI papers outside Ph.D. work and an ongoing sponsored project are among the requirements.
- Associate Professor – Pay Level 13A2: Ph.D. with 6 years after Ph.D. or 9 years total, including specified post-Ph.D. experience; four SCI publications after Ph.D., Ph.D. supervision and research-project experience are among the requirements. cc2a835eda84b9513137142b5ce29a50
For engineering candidates, a Ph.D. directly after B.Tech./B.E. from a reputed institution may also be considered if other criteria are fulfilled and the candidate has first class at Bachelor’s level.

Selected faculty members will join IIIT Sonepat in teaching and research roles within the advertised disciplines. The recruitment is intended to strengthen academic activities in areas including AI, machine learning, quantum computing, data analytics, communication technologies, semiconductor devices, mathematics for data science, and related fields.
Depending on the position, candidates may be expected to contribute to:
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
- Developing and improving teaching laboratories.
- Conducting high-quality research.
- Publishing research in SCI-indexed journals.
- Guiding Ph.D. and other student research projects.
- Developing and participating in sponsored research projects.
- Supervising student projects and research activities.
- Establishing computational/experimental projects relevant to teaching.
