Eligibility/Qualification–

Professor (Civil Engineering)

• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
• First Class or equivalent at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
• Minimum 10 years of teaching/research/industry experience.
• At least 3 years as Associate Professor or equivalent.
• Required research publications and Ph.D. supervision as per AICTE/University norms.

Associate Professor (Mechanical Engineering)

• Ph.D. in the relevant discipline.
• First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
• Minimum 8 years of teaching/research/industry experience.
• At least 6 research publications in indexed journals.

Assistant Professor

Engineering Disciplines

• B.E./B.Tech./B.S. and M.E./M.Tech./M.S. with First Class.
• Ph.D. desirable.
• Candidates with Ph.D. after Bachelor’s from Institutions of National Importance with GATE/GPAT/CEED are also eligible.

Business

• Bachelor’s degree plus MBA/PGDM/CA/ICWA/M.Com with First Class.
• Two years of professional experience.
• Preference for Finance, Marketing, and Business Analytics.

Architecture

• B.Arch. with required professional experience.
• OR B.Arch. + Master’s in Architecture.
• Valid Council of Architecture (CoA) Registration.

Humanities & Sciences

(Chemistry, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Sanskrit, Hindi, English, Dogri, Philosophy & Physics)

• Master’s degree with 55% marks.
• NET/SLET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC Regulations.
• Foreign Ph.D. holders from Top-500 ranked universities are also eligible under UGC norms.

Job/Position Description- 

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, Jammu & Kashmir, has invited online applications from eligible Indian candidates for the recruitment of Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor in various disciplines. The university is offering appointments under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix through direct recruitment.
