Description
The PhD project focuses on the crucial curing process in manufacturing CFRP composites. It aims to develop advanced computational tools to minimize discrepancies between designed and manufactured parts, employing state-of-the-art computational techniques such as high-order finite element methods, reduced order modelling, and machine learning. Candidates will engage in significant programming using Python, C/C++, and Fortran, as well as producing CFRP specimens for experiments. This research will advance the boundaries of CFRP simulation techniques, promoting engineering design innovation and sustainability.
