Eligibility/Qualification
- Candidates must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
- Strong background in archaeology, palaeoecology, biochemistry, or a closely related discipline.
Description
MEDLAND Project
Candidates will investigate Holocene landscapes in coastal Thrace, Greece, using a multi-proxy palaeoecological approach, including pollen analysis and microcharcoal examination, to understand prehistoric and colonial settlement dynamics.
BIOEAT Project
Candidates will focus on reconstructing Roman eating habits through the analysis of organic residues in cooking pots and vessels. This includes studying fats, dairy, and other organic substances from archaeological sites in Catalonia while integrating biochemical and historical data.
