Fully Funded PhD Researcher Positions: The Mateii Engineering And Nanosensor (MEAN) Laboratory, led by Prof. Evan K. Wulcki at the University of Maine, is offering two fully funded PhD researcher positions. These positions are part of the Chemical and Biomedical Engineering program and are located in Orono, ME. Eligibility/Qualification:
- Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0/4.0 or a minimum graduate GPA of 3.5/4.0.
- Proficient English communication skills (reading and writing).
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in fields related to composites, chemical engineering, materials science, materials engineering, physics, chemistry, textile engineering, biomedical engineering, or mechanical engineering.
- Exposure to experimental materials or composites research.
- Preference for candidates from underrepresented groups in STEM with experimental experience in electrohydrodynamics, polymeric nanofiber production, or inorganic 0D/2D materials synthesis.
