Fully Funded PhD Scholarship: The Musculoskeletal Health, Sport, and Exercise Lab at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and Arthritis Research Canada (ARC) invite applications for a full-time PhD scholarship. Scholarship Description:
Fully Funded PhD Scholarship in Rehabilitation Sciences
This fully funded 4-year PhD program in Rehabilitation Sciences will align with a large randomized controlled trial assessing the effectiveness and implementation of an education and exercise-based intervention for improving knee health and preventing symptomatic knee osteoarthritis in individuals at elevated risk for early-onset osteoarthritis. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to engage in OPTIKNEE international consensus activities, mentor thesis-based master’s trainees, and participate in other activities that support their career goals.
Eligibility: To be eligible for this scholarship, candidates should have completed a thesis-based Master’s program in a health, science, or implementation sciences background. They should also demonstrate a strong interest in knee injuries and osteoarthritis prevention, possess excellent written and verbal English communication skills, have experience writing scientific publications (with at least one first-author or co-authored original research peer-reviewed paper published in an international journal), and maintain a record of academic excellence.
