Location: Vienna, Austria
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Master’s/diploma degree in natural, physical, or social sciences, mathematics, computer science, engineering, or related disciplines with a strong quantitative foundation
- Prior independent research experience
- Proficiency in a programming language such as Python, R, Mathematica, Matlab, or Julia, or a database management and query language such as SQL
- Demonstrated proficiency in English
- Candidates with at least two years of full-time research experience in a quantitative area but with another degree are also eligible to apply
Job Description:
- Conduct independent thesis research in collaboration with faculty members and external partners
- Participate in research exchanges in government, public administration, industry, or business
- Attend coursework, workshops, master classes, research talk series, and annual student symposium as part of the program
- Collaborate with decision-makers from government, industry, and other organizations to implement research findings into better practices and policies
