Funded Ph.D. Student Opportunity: The Phytoplankton Ecology Laboratory at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS) is currently seeking applications for a Ph.D. student to join their team in the fall of 2024. This opportunity is funded by NOAA and involves research on the impact of multiple stressors, including Karenia brevis blooms, on plankton food-web interactions along the west coast of Florida. The selected student will participate in research cruises, gain experience in various methodologies, and collaborate with professionals in state and federal government as well as academia.
