Eligibility/Qualification
- Must be a postgraduate student.
- Applicants should not already hold a doctoral degree or be enrolled in a doctoral program at either institution or another university.
- Admission criteria of both universities must be met.
Description
The scholarship supports doctoral research focused on creating autonomous chemical systems with lifelike properties. Key objectives of the project include:
- Developing photoswitchable molecular replicators.
- Integrating replicators within a molecular building block pool to generate dynamic materials.
- Creating nanoscale building blocks that can be directed for assembly.
- Establishing a modular system for autonomous material assembly.
The successful candidate will receive comprehensive training including hands-on experience in designing, synthesizing, and characterizing chemical systems. They will work in an international collaborative environment, engaging with leading experts in the field.
How to Apply
Applicants should submit their applications via email to the co-supervisors at both institutions. The application must include:
- CV: Detailing academic training and research experiences.
- Statement: A maximum of 500 words describing suitability for the project.
- Transcripts: From the most relevant or recent degrees.
