Graduate Research Assistant Position in Precision Agriculture

The Graduate Research Assistant position at Oregon State University focuses on diverse aspects of Precision Agriculture, including crop characterization, mapping, and weed/pest/disease detection. The chosen candidate will apply cutting-edge technologies such as remote sensing, deep learning, robotics, and the Internet of Things (loTs) under the supervision of Dr. Jing Zhou.

Eligibility:

  • BS/MS degree in Agricultural Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Geomatics, or related disciplines with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Proficiency in programming languages: Python, MATLAB, R, C/C++, Java
  • US driver’s license or capability of obtaining one
  • TOEFL iB score > 80 or IELTS score > 6.5 for students educated outside the United States
