Scholarship Description: The Graduate Research Scholarships at the University of Melbourne are designed to support exceptional individuals pursuing graduate research degrees. These scholarships encompass two types: Melbourne Research Scholarships (MRS) and Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarships. They provide a comprehensive package of benefits, including full fee remission, living allowances, relocation grants, and health cover for international students.
Eligibility: To be eligible for these scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have applied for and satisfy the requirements for a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne, or
- Be currently enrolled in a graduate research degree at the University of Melbourne
Required Documents: Applicants are not required to submit a separate application for these scholarships, as they will be automatically considered based on their course application. However, specific required documents may include:
- Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- List of contacts for three references
- One-page cover letter highlighting qualifications and interest in the position
How to Apply: Applicants do not need to submit a separate scholarship application. If you are a new student who has applied for a graduate research course by the application closing date, you will be automatically considered for the Graduate Research Scholarships. You will receive a notification within ten business days of submitting your course application.
For current students who wish to be considered for a scholarship in the following year, an online application form must be submitted by October 31.
