Eligibility/Qualification:
- PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in (bio)chemical analytics, particularly in proteomics.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Experience and interest in plant science.
- Proficiency in protein purification and extraction from plant samples.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Experience with extraction and analysis of proteins from challenging plant tissues is a plus.
Job Description:
- Establish and manage a service unit dedicated to mass spectrometry-based proteomics.
- Provide cutting-edge proteomic analyses, including quantitative proteomics and identification of post-translational modifications.
- Operate and maintain the analytical infrastructure of the unit.
- Develop methods and assays in line with evolving research demands at MPI-MP.
- Train users and provide support with sample preparation, data analysis, and interpretation.
- Collaborate closely with various research groups within the institute.
- Potential to acquire third-party funding for independent research projects.
