HIIT Postdoctoral and Research Fellow: The Helsinki Institute for Information Technology (HIIT) invites applications for Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Fellow positions in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). These roles are designed to support the career development of outstanding researchers and are open to candidates in any area of ICT. Job Description

The HIIT offers competitive funding for two categories of researchers:

  1. HIIT Postdoctoral Fellow: Intended for early-career researchers who have recently completed their Ph.D. (typically within 3-5 years). The role focuses on supporting HIIT’s strategic areas without externally funded projects.
  2. HIIT Research Fellow: Intended for advanced researchers with prior postdoctoral experience. Research Fellows are expected to have their own research agendas, enhance collaboration within the ICT community, and strengthen interdisciplinary links.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead a research agenda.
  • Promote collaboration between different research areas and groups.
  • Engage in student supervision and teaching as required by the department.
