🎓 Eligibility/Qualification
- Ph.D. in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmacology (focus on microbiology), or closely related discipline.
- Proven experience in the following techniques:
- Bacterial culture, gene knockouts, plasmid design, and cloning
- Biofilm/virulence assays, qPCR, ELISA
- Protein analysis (SDS-PAGE, Western blot)
- Mammalian cell & bacterial co-culture
- Microscopy (fluorescence/confocal)
- HPLC-based metabolite analysis (preferred)
- At least one first-author publication in the last two years.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
🧪 Job Description
The successful candidate will:
- Conduct independent research on microbial pathogenesis and host response.
- Design and perform laboratory experiments using diverse molecular and cellular techniques.
- Analyze and interpret experimental data using appropriate statistical tools.
- Write scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications.
- Present research findings at conferences and support the mentorship of junior lab members.
