- Previous laboratory experience, industrial exposure, and collaboration skills are meritorious.
Job Description:
- Work on an industrial PhD project split between Uppsala University and AstraZeneca, Gothenburg.
- Develop a drug delivery system targeting inflamed disease sites in the colon.
- Functionalize drug-loaded nanoparticles with ligands for molecular targets.
- Use click chemistry-based bioconjugation to control nanoparticle diffusion through the colonic mucus barrier.
- Study transport of targeted nanoparticles in the colon using in vitro models.
- Assess therapeutic efficacy in preclinical disease models of ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease.
