Eligibility/Qualification:
- A Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics, Telecommunication, Computer Science, Electronics, or related fields.
- Strong academic record and research experience.
- High proficiency in English.
- No prior PhD awards.
- Must meet the MSCA mobility requirement: The candidate must not have resided in Spain for more than 12 months during the past 3 years.
- Applicants should not have been previously admitted into the ICFO doctoral program unless there has been a substantial change in their academic circumstances.
Job Description:
The selected candidates will join the FLIGHT Fellowship Program and work on the following research projects:
- IT008: Investigation of how crops balance sunlight usage and minimize photodamage (Biotechnology).
- IT009: Development of FPGA-based hardware for post-quantum cryptography (Quantum Physics).
- IT010: Design and fabrication of devices based on photonic integrated circuits (Photonics/Engineering).
Candidates will work closely with supervisors from ICFO and partner organizations, participate in secondments of 6-18 months at industrial partners, and develop their research in a highly interdisciplinary environment.
