Interdisciplinary Postdoctoral Fellowships: The Chemical Biological Centre (KBC), in collaboration with Umeå University and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU), is offering four postdoctoral fellowships for interdisciplinary projects. The selected candidates will commence their positions as soon as possible. This Postdoctoral Programme, funded by the Kempe Foundations, aims to foster interdisciplinary research, train exceptional young researchers, and drive cutting-edge research in Umeå. Four fellowships are available to candidates of all nationalities, with an application deadline of April 9, 2024.

Eligibility/Qualification: To qualify, candidates must have completed a doctoral degree or its foreign equivalent in the relevant field. The degree requirement should be met by the application closing date. Candidates should have completed their doctoral degree no more than three years before the closing date, with exceptions considered for special circumstances. Applicants must demonstrate a strong research track record, including first authorships in peer-reviewed publications, and exhibit the ability to work independently and as part of an international team. Proficiency in English is essential.
Job Description:
- Develop collaborative projects under the supervision of two Principal Investigators (PIs)
- Receive a two-year tax-exempt fellowship, supported by grants for project running costs
- Access core facilities and technical platforms for research
- Participate in activities to enhance academic and industry networks
- Engage with the Umeå Postdoc Society for networking and career development
