Eligibility/Qualification
- Recent PhD or close to completion in a relevant field (data science, AI, computer science, machine learning, Earth system science, climate, etc.).
- Preference for candidates within five years of receiving their PhD.
- Sound knowledge of EO, AI, ML, quantum computing, and edge computing.
- Experience with programming languages like Python and deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Job Description
As a Research Fellow, you will:
- Conduct advanced research on using disruptive technologies to develop innovative solutions.
- Investigate AI’s role in enhancing EO for climate actions.
- Design AI pipelines integrating EO data and climate projections to support decision-making.
- Explore explainable AI techniques to enhance transparency and maintain effective communication with the scientific community.
- Collaborate with various teams and publish research outcomes in high-impact journals.
- Contribute to the development of open datasets and tools.
