Eligibility/Qualification
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and not an Australian permanent resident.
- Intend to reside in Sydney, Australia during the candidature.
- Plan to undertake a Master of Research (MRes) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Session 1 2026 full-time.
- Meet the admission criteria for the intended program (MRes or PhD).
- Fulfill the English language requirement for Macquarie research degrees.
- Have completed their degree at the time of application for both MRes and PhD; applicants in the final semester are ineligible (except Macquarie applicants).
- Have confirmation of supervision from an eligible Macquarie University researcher.
- Have a valid visa enabling onshore study in Session 1 2026.
Job Description
Successful applicants will receive:
- Tuition fee offset for a maximum of three years.
- A living allowance stipend of $39,700 per annum for up to three years.
- A travel concession applied to their local transport OPAL card (for PhD iRTP applicants).
