Scholarship Description: The Dresden International PhD Program (DIPP) unites two exceptional partners committed to providing top-tier doctoral training at the forefront of scientific research:

IMPRS-CellDevoSys (International Max Planck Research School for Cell, Developmental, and Systems Biology): This program integrates biology, physics, chemistry, and computer science to train talented young researchers pursuing a doctoral degree. Located at three sites in Dresden, PhD students collaborate with leading scientists from over 50 nations to explore questions like: How do cells form tissues and organisms? Our students are passionate about cross-disciplinary science and are driven to forge new research directions.

DIGS-BB (Dresden International Graduate School for Biomedicine and Bioengineering): We prioritize critical thinking and early independence, inspiring our talented PhD students to become innovative research leaders. Our curriculum extends beyond traditional scientific training, nurturing both scientific and personal development.

Eligibility: Candidates interested in the Spring Selection 2024 for PhD positions can apply. Eligible applicants will undergo video interviews with the admission panel from 11th to 15th December 2023. Shortlisted candidates will participate in the interview week from 6th to 9th February 2024. The selected candidates will commence their PhD studies between 1st April and 1st October 2024.
