Study Area: Molecular Biology, with a focus on Gene Regulation, Epigenetics & Genome Stability

Location: Mainz, Germany (Institute of Molecular Biology, Johannes Gutenberg University, University Medical Center)

Eligibility/Qualification: We welcome applications from talented individuals with:

  • Master’s degree in molecular biology or a related field.
  • Strong enthusiasm for research in Gene Regulation, Epigenetics & Genome Stability.
  • Commitment to contributing to cutting-edge projects in various areas, including Ageing & disease, RNA biology, DNA repair & genome stability, Epigenetics & nuclear dynamics, Bioinformatics & computational biology, Gene regulation & evolution, and Proteostasis & phase separation.

Description: As a PhD student in our IPP, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Engage in exciting projects aligned with our research themes.
  • Collaborate with renowned scientists in the field.
  • Acquire hands-on experience in cutting-edge techniques such as CRISPR/Cas genome editing, next-generation sequencing (NGS), gene network modeling, mass spectrometry, and super-resolution microscopy.
