IRB Barcelona International PhD Fellowships: IRB Barcelona is offering up to 5 prestigious PhD fellowships for young scientists, both national and international, who aspire to pursue a doctoral degree in Biomedicine or Organic Chemistry. Eligibility/Qualification:
Candidates must have completed one of the following by December 2024:
- A university degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Physics, Medicine, or related fields within the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) with 300 ECTS credits, including at least 60 credits at the master’s level.
- A degree from a non-EHEA university that qualifies the candidate for doctoral studies in Spain in the specified fields.
Job Description:
The fellowship offers an opportunity to work in research groups led by prominent scientists in the following areas:
- Structural Bioinformatics and Network Biology (Dr. Patrick Aloy)
- Translational Control of Cell Cycle and Differentiation (Dr. Raúl Méndez)
- Pediatric Cancer Epigenetics (Dr. Alexandra Avgustinova)
- Colorectal Cancer Laboratory (Dr. Eduard Batlle)
- Research Unit on Asymmetric Synthesis (Dr. Antoni Riera)
Selected candidates will conduct high-impact research within these groups, contributing to pioneering projects funded by the Agencia Estatal de Investigación (AEI-MICINN) under the “Proyectos de Generación de Conocimiento 2023” Call.
