JSPS International Fellowships: The Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF) is collaborating with the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) to offer postdoctoral fellowships for young Swedish researchers. This program facilitates cooperative research activities with leading Japanese research groups and covers a one to two-year stay in Japan at an academic institution funded by JSPS. The SSF has the opportunity to select and nominate up to two candidates to JSPS for consideration.

Eligibility/Qualification:
- Doctoral student or PhD holder in life sciences, engineering, or natural sciences.
- The applicant must have received their doctoral degree prior to the start of the stay in Japan (not more than six years old, counting from April 1, 2024).
- Swedish citizenship or permanent right of residence in Sweden.
- Advanced arrangement of a research plan with the Japanese host.
- Fellows must start their fellowship in Japan during the period 1 July 2024 to 30 November 2024.
Job Description: The selected Postdoctoral Fellows will:
- Conduct qualified research training in an international environment.
- Work at a Japanese host institution approved by JSPS.
- Address topics contributing to progress in selected research themes.
- Develop strong linkages between Japan and Sweden through collaboration.
- Start their fellowship in Japan between 1 July 2024 to 30 November 2024.
