Eligibility/Qualification
- PhD in pharmaceutical sciences, nanomedicine, chemical engineering, biomedical sciences, or a related field.
- Strong background in nanoparticle formulation and drug delivery systems.
- Experience with encapsulation of small molecules or photosensitizers in nanocarriers.
- Knowledge of physicochemical characterization techniques (e.g., particle size, zeta potential, encapsulation efficiency, release kinetics).
- Interest or experience in light-activated therapies (e.g., photodynamic or photothermal approaches).
- Strong experimental skills and scientific rigor.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Good written and spoken English skills.
- Experience with ocular drug delivery or ex vivo retinal tissue is an asset.
Job Description
The candidate will contribute to the design, formulation, and characterization of nanoparticle-encapsulated photosensitizers aimed at improving ocular therapies. Responsibilities include rational design of nanocarriers, evaluation in relevant ophthalmic models, and application in light-activated therapies.
