M.Sc./Ph.D. Position- Development and Calibration: Join a collaborative project between Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Southern Arava R&D, and the Ministry of Agriculture. We are seeking motivated students for a fully funded M.Sc./Ph.D. position in the field of Irrigation and Plant Environment. The project focuses on the development and calibration of the HYDRUS model for optimizing irrigation scheduling and salinity management in date palm tree cultivation.

Eligibility/Qualification:

• Open to M.Sc. or Ph.D. candidates with a background in Irrigation, Plant Environment, or related fields.
• Strong interest in soil-plant atmosphere modeling, specifically using the HYDRUS model.
• Motivated individuals with a passion for contributing to agricultural optimization.

Job Description:

Development and Calibration of HYDRUS Model for Date Palm Trees – M.Sc./Ph.D. Position

• Collaborate on a joint project to enhance the HYDRUS model for date palm trees.
• Contribute to the optimization of irrigation scheduling and salinity management.
• Engage in ongoing measurements at the Southern Arava R&D (Yotvata).
• Work with a multidisciplinary team from academia and the Ministry of Agriculture.
