Eligibility/Qualification:

  • Niveau 8 – (Doctorat) in Integrative Plant Biology
  • 1 to 4 years of research experience
  • Expertise in cell biology or biophysics using electron and/or correlative microscopy
  • Knowledge and expertise in sample preparation for 3D electron microscopy (FIB-SEM, cryo-TEM) and fluorescence microscopy in cryo mode
  • Ability to work independently in an interdisciplinary and international environment

Job Description:

M/W Postdoc – Exploration of Symbioses using 3D Imaging

The postdoctoral researcher will be involved in sampling planktonic symbioses in the field, conducting fluorescence microscopy in cryogenic mode, and analyzing tomograms from 3D electron microscopy, including segmentation and 3D reconstruction. The researcher will communicate findings through international meetings and workshops. The project is part of the SymbiOcean ERC consolidator-funded project led by the Photosymbiosis team.
