Research Areas:

  • International Relations (IR):
    Feminist and decolonial approaches to peace and conflict studies, critical security studies, Syrian revolution, relational theories, politics of knowledge production, among others. Supervisors:
    • Birgit Poopuu, PhD: Associate Professor of IR, Co-Director of CEEShub. Research Highlights: Feminist and decolonial perspectives, peacebuilding, politics of knowledge production.
    • Benjamin Klasche, PhD: Lecturer in IR, Co-Director of CEEShub. Research Highlights: Governance of wicked problems, relational theory, climate change, and EU migration.
  • Comparative Politics (CP):
    Populism, radicalization, political participation of migrants, political communication, and electoral realignments. Supervisor:
    • Mari-Liis Jakobson, PhD: Associate Professor of Political Sociology. Research Highlights: Populism, far-right radical parties, political engagement of migrant voters, and political communication.

Eligibility/Qualification:

  1. Hold a PhD and have at most 8 years of full-time research experience by the time of the application. Note: Doctoral studies count as part of this experience.
  2. Research focus in International Relations (IR) or Comparative Politics (CP).
  3. Commitment to applying for an MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship with Tallinn University’s School of Governance, Law, and Society (SOGOLAS) as the host institution.
