Academic BackgroundAt least a 2.1 grade (or equivalent) in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunication engineering, applied mathematics, or relevant subjects.
SkillsProficient in machine learning/deep learning, cyber security, embedded systems, data science.
Early-Stage ResearcherMust not have been awarded a doctoral degree at the time of recruitment.
MobilityRequired to undertake physical, transnational mobility to take up the appointment.

Description

This three-year position involves investigating the privacy threats and preservation techniques within the Embedded AI pipeline. The doctoral researcher will conduct comprehensive analyses of privacy vulnerabilities in state-of-the-art embedded AI models and systems, design lightweight privacy-preserving solutions, and establish a privacy-by-design framework integrated into the development pipeline. The position also includes opportunities for secondments in the Netherlands and collaboration with other leading institutions and researchers.
