Eligibility / Qualification

Applicants must:

• Be between 18 years of age and the legal retirement age.
• Have the functional capacity to perform research duties.
• Not possess a doctoral degree.
• Meet the admission requirements for a doctoral programme.
• Hold one of the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and Master’s degree (minimum 300 ECTS credits combined).
  • Equivalent Spanish university qualification with Level 3 MECES accreditation.
  • Qualification from the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) enabling doctoral admission.
  • Equivalent non-EHEA qualification recognized for doctoral access.
  • Health sciences specialization candidates meeting doctoral admission criteria.
  • Candidates holding DEA or recognized research proficiency qualifications.
  • Students currently enrolled in a qualifying Master’s programme for the 2026–2027 academic year.
• Submit only one application and select a maximum of three available positions.

Job Description

Selected fellows will:

• Conduct full-time doctoral research at URV.
• Complete a doctoral thesis within the fellowship period.
• Participate in doctoral programme training activities.
• Contribute to research projects and innovation initiatives.
• Undertake teaching activities of up to 180 hours during the contract period (maximum 60 hours annually).
• Receive annual evaluations from the doctoral programme committee.
• Potentially continue in a postdoctoral orientation period for up to 12 months after successful thesis defense.
