Study Area: The fellowship projects will encompass the broad field of Medical Device Research and Development. Candidates can choose from a variety of projects hosted by different universities. Detailed information on available projects can be found at CURAM Projects.

Scholarship Description: MedDevDoc offers a comprehensive fellowship program with two phases: an initial host organization phase and a secondment phase in a non-academic organization. The fellowship covers various projects, and one such project, under the theme of “Biomaterials and Drug Delivery Devices,” focuses on the “Synthesis and design of functional antimicrobial glycosylated materials for medical device coatings.” Successful candidates will receive a living allowance, mobility allowance, and family allowance (if eligible), along with a budget for research consumables and travel.

Eligibility: Eligible candidates should have a 1st class or 2:1 honours primary degree (BSc or equivalent). A master’s degree in the relevant area is desirable but not essential. The fellowships are open to applicants of any nationality, residing anywhere globally, and seeking a prestigious career development fellowship in medical device research and development. All applicants must fulfill the MSCA mobility requirements.

Required Documents: Candidates should choose their preferred Principal Investigator (PI) and submit a detailed proposal with a maximum of 5 pages. Proposals, along with personal documents (CV, motivation letter, and language qualification), must be uploaded on the MedDevDoc platform.
