MSC and PhD Opportunities: The Canadian Underground Infrastructure Innovation Centre (CUIIC) at the University of Alberta, in collaboration with Concordia University and the University of Toronto, is offering multiple fully funded NSERC positions for research in sustainable practices in underground infrastructure. Location: University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, Canada in collaboration with Concordia University and University of Toronto
Eligibility/Qualification:
- Currently enrolled or completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or related fields
- Minimum 3.5/4.0 GPA
- Demonstrated strength in quantitative and qualitative research and analysis
- Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
- Familiarity with survey design and statistical analysis software is an asset
Job Description: Successful applicants can expect to be involved in a variety of activities including conducting literature reviews, developing an asset inventory database of GHG emission factors, designing and implementing surveys, analyzing survey responses, developing online inventory tools and system dynamics models, participating in field data collection and case study development, as well as writing technical reports, research papers, and presentations.
