Scholarship Description:
This doctoral position is a joint venture between the Food Bioprocess group and the Membrane group at Lund University’s Department of Process and Life Science Engineering. The project aims to utilize membrane processes to extract phytic acid and proteins from oilseed press cake and oat fibre residues. By reducing phytic acid content and concentrating proteins, the project seeks to enhance the usability of by-product streams in the food industry and explore new avenues in dental care and pharmaceuticals.
Eligibility:
- Hold a research PhD or be in the final stages of PhD thesis submission.
- Hold a medical, dental, veterinary, or related clinical degree.
- Have not stayed in Sweden or carried out research work at LU or any other Swedish organization for more than a maximum of 12 months in the last three years.
- Possess very good oral and written ability in English.
- Demonstrate experience in practical laboratory work.
