MSCA-PF2024: Blue Energy: The Aragon Institute for Engineering Research (I3A) at the University of Zaragoza invites applications for a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship (MSCA-PF) in 2024. The successful candidate will join the Fluid Dynamic Technologies Group to develop a multiscale computational method for blue energy and nanorobotics applications.
MSCA-PF2024: A Multiscale Computational Method for Blue Energy and Nanorobotics Applications
Designation: Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Research Area: Multiscale Computational Method for Blue Energy and Nanorobotics
Location: Zaragoza, Spain
Eligibility/Qualification: The postdoctoral candidate must hold a PhD in applied mathematics, physics, or chemical/mechanical engineering. Previous experience in mesoscale computational methods for soft matter physics and in the finite element method are a plus.
Job Description: The selected candidate will develop a multiscale finite element method based on a fluctuating hydrodynamics approach to study the behavior of nanodevices that generate energy or autonomous propulsion by harnessing osmotic forces in fluidic environments. The research will involve applying computational methods to analyze fluid flow, solute transport, and chemical reactions at the nanoscale, considering the effects of thermal fluctuations.
