MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship: IQAC-CSIC: The Institute for Advanced Chemistry of Catalonia (IQAC-CSIC) is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to apply for the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Postdoctoral Fellowship. This prestigious fellowship involves developing broad-spectrum anti-inflammatory peptide amphiphiles (AIF-PAs) and exploring their targeting capacity to mucosal surfaces. The ultimate goal is to innovate treatments for chronic mucosal inflammation and prevent HIV transmission.

Eligibility/Qualification:

• PhD Degree: PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, or Pharmacy.
• Research Experience: Maximum of 8 years of research experience post-PhD defense. For nationals or long-term residents of EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries wishing to reintegrate into Europe, research experience in third countries will not be counted.
• Mobility Requirement: Applicants must not have resided or conducted their main activity in Spain for more than 12 months between September 11, 2021, and September 11, 2024.
• Expertise: Specialization in peptide chemistry, including synthesis and characterization, with additional experience in biophysical techniques (such as fluorescence-based assays) being advantageous.

Job Description:

The selected candidate will engage in the development and characterization of anti-inflammatory peptide amphiphiles. This includes:

• Synthesizing and characterizing peptide amphiphiles.
• Investigating their interaction with mucosal surfaces.
• Designing strategies to target chronic mucosal inflammation and HIV transmission prevention.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and contributing to academic publications.
