Multiple PhD and Postdoc Positions: Join the newly founded research group at the University of Jena, led by Kevin Maik Jablonka, in the intersection of machine learning, chemistry, and material science. We are seeking highly motivated Ph.D. students and postdocs to work on data-driven design of polymer materials for energy applications. These fully funded positions will commence in summer/fall 2023. Together, we will develop innovative methods for accelerated material discovery and contribute to international research data initiatives.

Job Description: As a member of our research group, you will focus on the data-driven design of polymer materials for energy applications. We will explore novel inductive biases, human-in-the-loop active learning, and new learning paradigms to accelerate material discovery. Collaboration with world-leading experimental partners will validate our predictions and establish innovative modeling and data frameworks. Postdoc positions will involve research data management and the utilization of novel tools. Programming and machine learning experience, particularly in Python and Julia, is desirable.
