NanoBio4Can 2nd Call: The NanoBio4Can programme is offering 24 two-year postdoctoral fellowships for skilled scientists in nanobiotechnology and health-related applications for cancer research. Successful candidates will conduct their research at one of four top international institutions: SUNUM, IBG, TUBITAK-MAM, and KUTTAM. This programme aims to provide interdisciplinary training, foster innovation, and accelerate clinical implementation of research findings.

Location:
Fellows will conduct research at one of the following institutions in Türkiye:

  • Sabanci University Nanotechnology Research & Application Center (SUNUM)
  • Izmir Biomedicine and Genome Center (IBG)
  • TUBITAK Marmara Research Center
  • Koç University Research Center for Translational Medicine (KUTTAM)

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • PhD holder or must have successfully defended a doctoral thesis.
  • Compliance with the MSCA mobility rule (must not have resided or carried out their main activity in Türkiye for more than 12 months in the last three years before the call deadline).
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to engage full-time in fellowship activities.

Job Description:

  • Conduct high-quality research in nanobiotechnology and cancer research.
  • Participate in an interdisciplinary and intersectoral training programme.
  • Engage in secondments with industry partners and clinics.
  • Contribute to translational research efforts and innovative therapeutic approaches.
  • Participate in scientific events, seminars, and professional development courses.
  • Publish research findings in high-impact journals and conferences.

What We Offer:

  • Financial Support:
    • Full-time contract for 24 months.
    • Gross salary of €3,980/month covering living and mobility expenses (subject to deductions based on Türkiye’s regulations).
    • Up to €1,200 travel allowance for relocation.
    • Research, training, and networking allowance of up to €800/month.
    • Additional support for fellows with disabilities.
