NIG Postdoctoral Fellows: The National Institute of Genetics (NIG) is recruiting young and promising researchers as NIG postdoctoral research fellows to actively engage in research activities at the institute. The program aims to contribute to the further development of research at NIG and nurture researchers with exceptional research abilities.

Eligibility/Qualification: Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a PhD degree (or equivalent) or expect to obtain it before the arrival date at the post.
- Possess sufficient research skills for genetics projects.
- Applicants who have been enrolled at NIG before March 31, 2024, are not eligible to apply.
Job Description: Successful candidates will be employed as project researchers, operating under the discretionary working hour system. They are eligible to apply for competitive funds, Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research (KAKENHI). NIG postdocs are expected to contribute positively to the overall NIG research environment, actively participating in events such as NIG Poster Sessions, NIG Retreats, and NIG colloquia. Long-term research plans outside NIG are generally not accepted. A presentation of achievements at the NIG colloquium is required at the end of the employment period. Publications must acknowledge support from the NIG postdoc grant.
