Candidates are encouraged to propose innovative projects focused on research collaboration with Southern countries and overseas territories. This year, projects should align with one of the ten specified thematic areas.
Designation: Postdoctoral Researcher

Location: Worldwide (Research conducted in collaboration with Southern countries and overseas territories)
Eligibility/Qualification: Postdoctoral contracts are open to individuals holding a doctoral degree for less than three years and having defended their thesis between September 1, 2021, and September 30, 2024. These contracts are accessible to researchers of French or foreign nationality. Prior experience in Southern countries or overseas territories is not required, but proposals must outline how the project will be implemented with these regions during the postdoctoral period.
Job Description: The selected Postdoctoral Researchers will conduct research activities as part of the specified project, develop research proposals, publish research results, and engage in administrative tasks related to project management. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with research units affiliated with IRD and conduct research internationally.

The application dossier must be submitted to the director of the research unit where the research will be conducted by April 20, 2024 (midnight, France time). The dossier should include a research project, curriculum vitae, and proof of doctoral degree or defense date.
