NORPOD Postdoctoral Researcher Position: The Nordic EMBL Partnership is inviting applications for postdoctoral researchers to join the NORPOD Programme, which aims to nurture the next generation of scientists through innovative research collaborations in molecular medicine. Researchers will work on high-impact projects addressing significant health challenges in Nordic societies, with a focus on precision medicine, microbial genomics, and neuroscience.

Location:

Various Nordic EMBL nodes, including Helsinki (Finland), Umeå (Sweden), and Oslo (Norway).

Eligibility/Qualification:

  • A Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Strong background in relevant research methodologies, and a proven record of scientific publication.
  • Ability to develop collaborative projects and engage in cross-disciplinary research.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
  • Willingness to travel to collaborating laboratories within the Nordic EMBL network.

Job Description:

  • Develop collaborative research projects under the supervision of at least two Nordic EMBL Principal Investigators (PIs) from different research sites.
  • Conduct cutting-edge research in areas such as cancer genomics, microbiome dynamics, and epigenetics.
  • Participate in advanced training and professional development.
  • Access state-of-the-art core facilities and engage with interdisciplinary teams to promote health-related innovations.
  • Travel for short or long-term visits to collaborating researchers’ labs to enhance collaboration and research output.
