Open PhD Student Position: The Institute of Neuropathology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Freiburg, is seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join the research group of Dr. Katrin Kierdorf. The research group’s focus is on understanding the homeostatic function and maintenance of tissue macrophage networks, investigating the underlying processes and mechanisms. Tissue macrophages play a crucial role in various tissues, and this research aims to explore how these cells define their numbers in specific tissue niches and how network assembly alterations can lead to immune-mediated pathologies.
